Cakes in the Park…

August 4, 2013

And The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon, located on Burton Road, West Didsbury has been expanding in quite a few ways recently. New additions the menu, including a good range of gluten free options, a weekend baked breakfast menu, wedding dessert tables, brownies delivered through the post – and now, a gorgeous pop-up venture based at The Holt Pavilion in Didsbury Park, until the end of September.

Offerings include staple favourites such as brownies, rose & pistachio cakes, scones and cream, teas and coffees – but also a new range of savouries. At the launch we sampled the most deliciously flavoursome mushroom & gruyere tart, couscous, feta and pomegranate salad and a very tasty range of cutesy sandwiches.

The pop up tea room will be open Thursday – Saturday 10am – 5pm and Sunday 11am – 5pm, until the end of September, and as well as serving up their home produced fare, will also be opening up their new space for community projects, work shops and classes. They have partnered up with Didsbury Good Neighbours and will be hosting events, which will appeal to all age groups. Watch out over on Didsbury Life as we’ll be regularly updating what’s going on in the pop-up – and don’t forget, there’s plenty of room inside for baby buggies as well as enclosed grassed area outside, so perfect to take the kids along to…
