So, as is tradition (and let’s face it, recent weeks haven’t really suggested it’s summer), we expected downpours and grey skies for the Didsbury Classic Car Show – and dressed accordingly. Plastic rain mac and wellies. Only to get there and the sun be blazing down! By the time we’d made our way round, I did feel as if I was literally melting, plasticed up as I was for protection from the rain. It was just as well The Silver Apples girls were there with gorgeous homemade lemonade 🙂

Having now cooled down, and seeing that normal British summer weather has returned, feast your eyes on these beauties…

Next stop was The Albert Club for the The Village Summer Fete – all very lovely & British with Pimms, bowls, a tombola, a BBQ and of course, a dog show. The highlight of the afternoon – and special congratulations go to Pixie the mini sausage-dog, whose perfect behaviour in the show, almost redeemed her behaviour from the previous day…
