Gorgeous Gourmet Grub at Greens

June 4, 2012

Although this event happened a couple of weeks ago, we couldn’t let it pass without posting the photos of the food that we had at the Gourmet Evening at Greens, West Didsbury.

The night happened slap bang in the middle of National Vegetarian Week – and showcased, quite simply, some of the best veggie food we’ve had. We’re not vegetarian, and neither were most of our table. But every single dish that arrived was  flavoursome, filling, amazingly presented and as far away from the sometimes still held idea that veggie food is the very poor relation of meat/fish dishes.

It was a packed evening – over 100 people throughout the evening sampled the menu. Simon Rimmer was in the kitchen, and judging by the number of female diners who had their photos taken with him, he was obviously part of the draw.

But to be honest, the food was the star of the show –

As well as special evenings such as this, Greens offer early evening specials, a full a la carte – and a pretty amazing Sunday “roast” deal. Full info over on their Didsbury Life profile
