Pinchjo’s Photo-Shoot

February 23, 2010

Just a very quick update on yesterday’s happenings in the world of Didsbury Life, with the much-awaited photo shoot at Pinchjo’s Tapas Restaurant on Burton Road. Joe really pushed the boat out – lots of lovely pinchos stacked high on the bar, accompanied by very more-ish Prosecco from Reserve Wines. Recommended would be the homemade Spanish meatballs and melt-in-the-mouth Serrano ham.

The new Pinchjo’s website will hopefully reflect the vibrancy of the bar, with rich red being a predominant colour – the previews we saw of the photographs (a few tasters here now), will definitely complement this Mediterranean vibe.

The best thing about the evening however, was seeing how, from a very small Twitter connection, a big, collaborative project has emerged. Mark, our photographer, [who still sometimes doubts his brilliance!] immediately put everyone at ease by photographing the evening really unobtrusively. It did help that Joe had made sure he had a mix of the familiar – when the site goes live look out for a few famous [and some infamous] Burton Road faces – but Mark threw himself into the project. Quite literally at one point, when he was spotted lying across the floor. We can guarantee he only had two very small glasses of wine, so have to assume it was all for the sake of his art!

Work on Joe’s site [not “sight”, Joe!], begins this week – look out for the all new Pinchjo’s very soon!

With thanks to Mark Nelson for travelling over to Didsbury from Bollington to do the shoot, and of course, Joe for the lovely food & drink – and wonderful hospitality! Can imagine there were one or two traders who had a slightly later start today…
